SoUP social dinner will take place on Thursday June 23, starting from 07:30 PM, at Rifugio Montecristo 2.0, located in a wonderful mountain area. Shuttle bus service will be provided.
Visit to underground laboratory scheduled for Friday June 24 at 2:00 PM is confirmed.
Students who intend to cancel their participation are kindly asked to write an email to soup2022@lngs.infn.it
Please find below the timetable:
2:30 PM – buses leaving from LNGS (ouside area)
2:40 PM – arriving at underground laboratory
4:00 PM – end of visit
4:15 PM – back to LNGS (outside area), then the buses will leave for L’Aquila
4:45 PM – Amiternum bus station
(starting from 4:50 PM the bus will drive to affiliated hotels in L’Aquila, for students staying one more night)

LNGS is located inside the Gran Sasso-Laga National Park.

LNGS is surrounded by mountains and are very close to the Gran Sasso mount which is one of the highest peaks in Italy. Hiking can be enjoyed nearby: a cable car is also available on site.

GSSI is located in the center of L’Aquila. The city of L’Aquila (founded in 13th century) offers many ancient churches and buildings as well as museums and cultural tourism places.
The city center of L’Aquila is full of pubs, bars and restaurant and has been almost entirely rebuilt after the 2009 earthquake.
